2023 CUPK Application Guide for Programs for International Students

一、校區(qū)簡介

中國石油大學（北京）是中國教育部直屬的中國重點大學之一，是一所著名的研究型大學，學校形成了石油特色鮮明，以工為主、多學科協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展的學科專業(yè)布局，石油石化等重點學科處于國內(nèi)領(lǐng)先地位，并在國際上形成了一定影響。近年來，學校經(jīng)濟金融、漢語英語、軟件、數(shù)據(jù)科學等專業(yè)得到快速發(fā)展。2023年5月，國家主席習近平復信中國石油大學（北京）的中亞留學生，鼓勵他們?yōu)橥苿又袊衼唶谊P(guān)系發(fā)展作出更大貢獻，這是習近平主席繼2020年7月給中國石油大學（北京）克拉瑪依校區(qū)畢業(yè)生回信后，再次對學校的關(guān)懷指導和深切勉勵。

1. Introduction to CUPK

China University of Petroleum -Beijing(CUP), one of the key universities in China directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education of China, is a well-known research university. The university has formed a discipline professional layout with a distinctive petroleum characteristic, focusing on engineering and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. Key disciplines such as petroleum and petrochemical are in a leading position in China and have a strong influence in the world. In recent years, the university has made great efforts to develop majors including economics, finance, Chinese, English, software, and data science and achieved rapid development. In May 2023, President Xi Jinping replied to Central Asian students at China University of Petroleum-Beijing(CUPB), encouraging them to make greater contributions to the development of relations between China and Central Asian countries, which is President Xi Jinping's second letter after his response to graduates of China University of Petroleum -Beijing at Karamay(CUPK) in July 2020.

China University of Petroleum (CUP) has two campuses (Beijing and Karamay).The Beijing campus (CUPB) lies in Changping District in Beijing. The Karamay campus (CUPK) is located in Karamay City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

China University of Petroleum-Beijing at Karamay(CUPK) is a brand new and modern university with modern teaching buildings, advanced laboratories, first-class sports facilities, newly built student dormitories, and intelligent libraries. The university lays great emphasis on the cultivation of students' application ability and is equipped with a team of high-level qualified teaching staff. Karamay City, where the campus is located, is a world-famous oil city with beautiful surroundings and convenient transportation and is a modern industrial city with a booming economy and stable society. Wu’erhe Mystery Town, on the outskirts of the city, is a world-famous Yardang Landform National Geopark, which has been rated as one of the top 50 places for foreigners to visit in China.

二、留學生招生類別

中國石油大學（北京）克拉瑪依校區(qū)面向各國招收學歷生（本科生、碩士生）和非學歷生（漢語進修生/漢語預科生）

China University of Petroleum-Beijing at Karamay(CUPK) recruits undergraduate, postgraduate students and non-degree students (Chinese language students, preparatory students) from all over the world

三、非學歷課程、專業(yè)簡介

1.非學歷課程（漢語進修生/預科生）

①學習年限：1-2年

②課程介紹：本項目旨在提高來華留學生的日常漢語應用能力和學術(shù)漢語理解能力，幫助來華留學生深入了解中國文化，掌握與中國人溝通的要領(lǐng)，提高與中國人交往和在華工作的綜合能力。具體目標：漢語零基礎的學生，經(jīng)過一年的學習，達到新HSK四級180分以上水平，可直接進入我校本科專業(yè)學習。

3. Introduction to non-degree courses and degree programs

(1) Non-degree courses (Chinese language students, preparatory students)

Duration: 1-2 years

Overview: This program is specifically designed for international students, aiming to improve their application ability of daily Chinese and their ability to understand academic Chinese, and to help international students deeply understand Chinese culture, master the essentials of communication with Chinese people, and improve the comprehensive ability to communicate with Chinese people and work in China. Specific goals: students who go from zero in Chinese to a score of above 180 on the new HSK Band 4 after one year of Chinese language study can take undergraduate courses taught in Chinese.

四、申請人基本報名條件

1.國際留學生，身心健康，能滿足在校正常學習和生活。

2.高中畢業(yè)，獲得高中及以上學歷學位證明。

3.本科課程為漢語授課，要求漢語水平達到新HSK四級180分以上；

4.對華態(tài)度友好，遵紀守法，無犯罪記錄。

4. Application Qualifications

（1） Applicants should be international students who are physically and mentally healthy and are able to study and live at our university.

（2） Applicants should be High school graduates with a high school (or above) diploma.

（3） Undergraduate courses are taught in Chinese, and the required Chinese proficiency is above a score of 180 in the new HSK Band 4;

（4） Applicants should be Friendly to China, law-abiding, and have no criminal record.

五、申請方式

方式一：申請者登錄中國石油大學（北京）克拉瑪依校區(qū)來華留學生在線申請系統(tǒng)http://cupk.chiwest.cn,注冊賬號、在線填報、提交申請。

方式二：申請人以中文或英文填寫《來華留學生入學（獎學金）申請表》（鏈接https：//www.dialing.top/English/c/2017-06-12/486868.shtml），并將以下需提供的申請材料掃描件一并發(fā)送至電子郵箱：international-karamay@cupk.edu.cn

需提供的申請材料包括：

1.護照首頁

2.護照簽證頁（有中國旅居史者需提供所有來華簽證頁和中國出入境記錄的掃描件）

3.高中及以上學歷學位證明原件和中/英文翻譯件。如果尚未畢業(yè)，請?zhí)峁邦A畢業(yè)證明”，并在入學時提交學歷學位證明原件和中/英文翻譯件。

4.高中成績單原件和中/英文翻譯件

5.語言水平證明（HSK成績單、其它語言水平證明等，漢語進修生/預科生無需提供）

6.監(jiān)護人委托證明（僅未滿18歲申請人需要）

7.無犯罪記錄證明

8.外國人體格檢查表

9.住宿申請表

10.原學校出具的轉(zhuǎn)學證明

11.原學校出具的成績單

境外新生需提供:1-9;境內(nèi)轉(zhuǎn)學需提供:1-11。

※申請材料為翻譯件的需經(jīng)公證后提交。

學校招生辦收到學生申請后，采取滾動錄取方式，直到當年招生名額錄完為止。

5. Application

Method 1:

Applicants can log in the Online Application System for International Students of China University of Petroleum -Beijing at Karamay http://cupk.chiwest.cn,and register an account and fill in online forms and submit the applications.

Method 2:

Applicants should fill in “ The Application Form for Admission (Scholarship) for International Students in China” in Chinese or English (link: http://www.dialing.top/English/c/2017-06-12/486868.shtml) and send the following application materials to the email address: international-karamay@cupk.edu.cn

（1） Photocopy of your Passport home page

（2） Scanned copies of all China visa pages (For those with a history of travel and residence in China, scanned copies of all visa pages and entry and exit records are required)

（3） High School Diploma and a translated copy in Chinese or English. (If you have not graduated yet, please get in touch with your current school to provide a ‘certificate’ of expected graduation and hand in the High School Diploma and the translated copy in Chinese or English at your enrollment to the university.)

（4） Official transcripts of your grades in high school and translated copies in Chinese or English

（5） Language Proficiency Certificate (HSK transcripts, other language proficiency certificate, etc., not required for Chinese language students and preparatory students)

（6） Guardian Entrustment Certificate (Only for applicants who are under 18 years old)

（7） Non-Criminal Record Certificate

（8） Physical Examination Report

（9） Accommodation Application Form

（10） Certificate of school transfer provided by your current school

（11） Official transcripts of your grades in your current school

NOTE

Applicants abroad should submit materials No. 1-9.

Transfer applicants in China should submit materials No. 1-11

※If the application materials are translated, they must be submitted after notarization.

After receiving the student's application, the admission office of the university will adopt a rolling admission method until the enrollment quota for the current year is completed.

六、費用

留學生需繳納下列費用：

1.報名費：400元人民幣/70美元

2.漢語進修生/預科生學費：15000元人民幣/年

3.攻讀學士學位本科生學費：20000元人民幣/年

4.住宿費：9000元人民幣/年/人（雙人間）

5.綜合醫(yī)療保險費：800元人民幣/年

6. Fees

International students should pay the following fees:

(1) Application fee: 400 RMB or USD 70.

(2) Tuition:

Non-degree programs (Preparatory Chinese language): 15000 RMB/year.

Undergraduate program: 20000 RMB/year.

Accommodation: Twin room: 9000 RMB/year/person.

(3) Insurance: 800 RMB/year.

七、獎學金

優(yōu)秀留學生可申請獎學金，條件符合且有意申請獎學金者，可以中文或英文填寫《來華留學生入學（獎學金）申請表》，獎學金資助信息根據(jù)學生索要請求提供。獎學金數(shù)額有限，經(jīng)嚴格評審，錄滿名額為止。鼓勵優(yōu)秀學生盡早申請，截止日期為7月15日。

7. Scholarship

Excellent international students can apply for scholarships, and those who meet the requirements and intend to apply for a scholarship can fill in “The Application Form for Admission (Scholarship) for International Students” in Chinese or English. Scholarship information is provided upon request. The amount of scholarship is limited and will be subject to strict evaluation until the quota is full. Excellent students are encouraged to apply early and the deadline is 15^th, July.

八．住宿申請

所有留學生按要求在校內(nèi)住宿，在提交申請時，需提供《住宿申請表》。繳納標準住宿費的，住宿標準為雙人間。有特殊需求的學生，需繳納額外費用。

8. Accommodation Application

All international students are required to live on campus. “Accommodation Application Form” should be provided when submitting the application. If you pay the standard accommodation fee, the accommodation is a twin room. Students with special needs are subject to an additional fee.
